6.30am - 5.30pm Monday - Friday with occasional weekends
Overview
Managing weighbridge operations within a busy logistics environment, ensuring accurate recording of weights and facilitating smooth logistics processes.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, materials handling, and mechanical knowledge, with experience in shipping and receiving procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate the weighbridge equipment accurately to record vehicle weights for incoming and outgoing lorries
- Ensure all weighings are correctly logged into the system
- Manage shipping and receiving documentation, ensuring compliance with company procedures
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on weighing equipment and report any faults or issues
- Maintain safety standards at all times, including adherence to health and safety regulations during operational tasks
Qualifications
- Previous experience in weighbridge operations essential
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge related to weighing equipment and general warehouse machinery
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes, including load & unload procedures
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and data entry
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
