They have an immediate requirement for a number of Assistant Capital Accountants to join the team.

  • To support the Capital Accountant in preparing and reconciling financial management information on the Trust’s capital programme to allow timely and accurate monitoring of expenditure, income and cash flow. To develop and lead the process of ensuring the correct split of expenditure between capital and revenue is applied.
  • To prepare information regarding capital purchases and disposals and support the processes underpinning the operation and maintenance of the Trust’s Asset Register. To support the annual asset verification reviews of the Trust Asset Register, in conjunction with other directorates to ensure its accuracy.
  • To produce and reconcile information from the Asset Register to assist in the production of financial returns and accounting statements.

The person:

  • NHS experience is desirable.
  • Good interpersonal skills are required. 
  • Good Excel skills are essential (e.g., v-lookups, pivots, filtering).
