As Commercial Director, you'll be the linchpin in sales, marketing, and business development efforts, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. You'll lead a team of regional sales managers and a distribution channel manager to implement cutting-edge strategies that maximise sales and margin contributions across all regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies aligned with the company's overarching goals.
  • Sales Management: Lead the sales teams to exceed performance targets and manage relationships with key accounts and distributors.
  • Marketing Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to tailor strategies to regional needs and effectively promote Goodfellows and its products/services.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with distributor partners and identify opportunities for organic growth within the customer base.
  • International Engagement: Undertake national and international travel to engage with customers, attend exhibitions, and represent Goodfellow globally.

Key Requirements:

 

  • Senior sales management or business development experience.
  • Strong understanding of regional markets and industries.
  • Excellent influencing, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Results-driven with a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to provide technical advice to internal teams and customers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven track record in sales with advanced spreadsheet skills.
  • Knowledge of additional languages would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
