The purpose of the role is to maintain financial integrity, support the operational team, and ensure the timely and accurate processing of payroll. Duties to include but not limited to:
- Managing and processing several monthly payrolls across multiple entities
- Managing a small team
- Ensuring compliance with PAYE, NI, pensions, and statutory deductions
- Dealing with payroll queries
- Overseeing staff expense claims
- Supporting short-term cash flow forecasting and payroll-related accounting
- Collaborating with HR, site managers, and external auditors
- Other ad hoc duties as required
The person:
- Previous payroll experience within a medium to large business is essential
- Strong communication skills are essential
- You will be able to demonstrate reliability, integrity, and a calm approach under pressure
- You will have a drive to improve systems and processes
