Purchasing Specialist - MRO, Sheffield

The Job:

Responsible for driving value and aligning procurement activities with the company’s strategic objectives. The role will involve purchasing a variety of indirect MRO-related products and services, as well as some business services including IT contracts.

Purchasing indirect products and services in line with the company's requirements and ensuring measurable commercial and operational outcomes within the MRO and business services categories
Building and developing strong supplier relationships
Monitoring supplier data to ensure performance levels are within agreed SLAs
Carrying out supplier visits and audits
Implementing and embedding procurement improvements
Engaging with stakeholders, driving budget compliance and develop tender specifications

Required experience:

At least 6 years' experience in an Indirect purchasing role, at Senior Buyer level or above
Evidence of high spend and autonomous category responsibility
Experience with MRO and business services/other indirect spend category
Proven solid negotiation skills
Experience within manufacturing purchasing is an advantage.
