An established and well-respected house builder in the Leicestershire area is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor Manager to join the business to add value and oversee the management and development of the QS team. You will oversee numerous projects and ensure projects are closely monitored in line with business budgets.
Key responsibilities for the role will include:
- Responsibility for reporting the variances to budget by site/project and support appropriate corrective actions made.
- Implementing robust QS procedures.
- Responsibility for setting rates for different tasks.
- Responsible for reviewing the initial budget plan with the costing department for each site, considering material prices, labour costs and other expenses.
- Management and development of the QS team.
- Responsibility for certain individual sites/projects.
To be considered for the role applicants should be an experience Quantity Surveyor with the ability to multitask across numerous projects whilst demonstrating the following qualifications and experience:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, surveying, or construction
- Surveying or project management experience required
- 5 years Minimum experience in role and the Home Build construction industry
- Extensive knowledge of uses and costs of building materials
- Deep understanding of the construction industry regulations
